i've decided to go with BLAG 70000 (last version I have, and has worked fine) on my old Compaq Armada M700 laptop. It has a 700Mhz cpu, with 256MB of ram. I would like to set it up to enable simple file-sharing with my desktop, when I join them with a crossover cable. I would like to create a simple shared folder, and allow easy access to it, without needing to use passwords. What is the simplest way to set up such a share, with passwordless access please? Many thanks in advance.

https://wiki.blagblagblag.org/Ssh_and_slogin

If they both have *nix on them then you can set up password-less ssh/slogins.

scp -r /path/to/directory hostname:/path/to/other/directory
scp -r remote_machine:/path/to/directory /path/to/other/directory

ssh <username> 'do some command'

How odd, I was sure I'd replied to this already. Thanks for your suggestions, will, give it a try once I have some free time, suddenly busy for the next few days. Appreciate the suggestions, will check it out. :)
