We would need to realistically look at what can be achieved. BLAG no doubt was a full time job for Jeff over the years. Even the seemingly minor things like the Wiki or mailing lists are broken right now.
Would we need a dedicated server for repos? How much could be afforded? How much would be needed? It is my understanding that Jeff had some pretty uber servers at his disposal with GB's of RAM, loads of processors etc. Would your average $99 a month server work even with an unmetered connection?
It would be cool if we got some sort of checklist that showed precisely everything that went on and every task. No rush. BLAG is still functional at the core and will remain so.

It would also be a good idea to start seeing if anyone is any good at re-spinning fedora.

thanks for this. am i however right in thinking that this mirror is not doing the same set of 'pulls' from other repos as before, and is therefore in effect static?
[note: just coming back online after two weeks away and catching up on events.]

Yep, all kimsufi did was rsync with BLAG so that it was four hours behind it. A maling list would be good as we could pool our results from respins. "This works, that doesn't, this is 100% free, that part isn't.." that sort of thing
