Okay before writing this message got a few quick things to say. I'm new to Gnu/Linux. I am also new to BLAG. This is also my first post. I did some research about Linux and learned it was not just a single OS that you go out and buy at best buy,target,etc... But rather almost 1,000,000 free version's and remasters of one single program, I found this amazing. So as I was on the GNU website the first link I clicked on, for the downloads, was BLAG. I so I installed learning more and increasing my knowledge towards Gnu/Linux. I started the program and I was totally blown away by it. All the things that appear before the OS it's self. Though I found it strange I liked it. Well I finally got to this operating system. I used it for awhile yet just today I further got into making an account for the forum community and such. So all and all, I love BLAG. I've not really got the chance to try out any others except KNOPPIX. Which was just okay to me. But I can tell this is a really great software I downloaded.

My CD pic lol :

Hello, and welcome. :)

BLAG is one of the very rare breed of those using ONLY Free Software (free as in freedom, not free as in price, tho it's that also. :) ). I discovered this about version 70000, and had a great deal of fun installing it, finding most essential applications I could find myself needing, with more only a simple apt-get, or yum, away. Also, the community has proven fun, supportive, and informative, without being condescending. Good combo in my opinion. :)

It's one of those distros that shows just how much can be achieved with ONLY free software, enabling full playback of virtually all my media files (music, vids, etc), DVD's, and has applications to enable me to do most things one might feel the need/want to straight from install. A good selection all round.

Am eagerly awaiting to see what the next incarnation may show us, and the promise of great Free Software to enable us to be and do more. :)

Cheers. :)

Welcome to blag, jaffyworld! Be sure to post if you need any advice or run into trouble. Apart from being an excellent distro, blag also has the nicest community of all:-)

I have always heard nothing but great things about linux from close friends in the web development field. Organization and simplicity are essential to finding your way around any program.
