A year ago i didn't understand why people spent time on internet or computers...i though that they were a bunch of.fools..i did occasiomally go on Net t at my local library..(in fact the bunch of was more im a dumb one myself for having been so persuaded of my ""great inteligence""..).actually i'm glued to my screen,There is so much to learn!!
what changed my opinion and what brought me to Blag?
but mostly what Blag has brought to me?
A lot..really..!
4 months ago i decided on getting a fairly secondhand Pc(recycled by ex-prisoners,reinsertion program)) and installing internet at home, also certain international events made me realize that to be informed one must search other than "mainstream"media...my girlfriend has a little netbook which nearly died of blue death screen.Without mentioning the big spy scam/NSA...!!!
Richard Stallman's speachs made me open my eyes wide, and also Benjamin Bayart of the FDN France & his famous conference= Internet libre ou Minitel 2.0....
..some Gnu_Linux distros are really a nice ""propriatary'" trap.!
Blag not only works great, graphical ''ambiance'',but when i installedthe Epiphany web Browser in Blag140000k it had some very interesting bookmarks which made me discover.that there was more to it..a real political message and a great respect to one's freedom.
Frankly its the" Libre "distribution out there..in the gnu_linux galaxy.
I tried gNewSense & Trisquel but i didn't feel it as much as Blag, and thats matter of personal choice..it's a gut distro,I really hope sincerly that this project keeps on existing,i'd say its vital....

Blag is a distro that has always been ... different ... from the rest.
Mind you, different in a good way!
Not just a distro (a certain mix of kernel and applications), but more than that.
I really hope to see it will rise again :)

As it was my first post i could not add the folowing links :
(Richard Stallman's speachs from the Official site Gnu-Org)

Famous in France and a ""must"for beginners to grasp
the necessity of a non-centralized web..

I agree. I am actually using a proprietary distribution right now (other than firmware, nothing non-free installed). However I downloaded the .rpm for the anarchism fortunes. I think they are great!

It's also from BLAG that I learned about the Anarchist FAQ.

You could always give at try at Liberating Fedora 19/20 like most of us actually run
and some have installed Blag's- Veganix- icons too make it resemble Blag.
the IRC is fairly active, depending;(although actually i have a lot of work and my hours do not permit to be there..i just manage to switch my pc on an hour a week.. )

I may try that sometime soon, although I cannot change distributions right now because of school stuff. I went to IRC sometimes ago, and the room had quite a few people in it, I said "hi" but there were crickets. But I find that is the typical IRC experience... :P
