Hello!

First of all I want to say I do not use BLAG. As a GNU/Linux user, I got on this page because of my interest in other distributions.
The icon for bittorrent is a Nazi occultist symbol called the "Black Sun" ("Schwarze Sonne" in German). Unlike the swastika, the Black Sun's origin lies in the Nazi era and the symbol has not been used before.
I would recommend using a different icon.

Kind regards,
chrisi

I think so! I've to say I never think about that before; and just saw it's the transmission icon too on the last development blag I'm testing.
@chrisi The last blag release is 140k you may load there: ftp://blag.fsf.org/140000/en/iso/
We hope to release a 160k based on fedora 16 and with XFCEas desktop by default; we're not very found of gnome3.

You are of course right - i even know the symbol but have never made the connection. It is one of the original BLAG icons used for bittorrent and for a couple of other obsolete icons. No idea why and with what intention it was made, perhaps some satirical reference that has since gone lost.

As the black sun is very closely associated with nazi so-called mysticism, i also suggest removing it entirely - a new package of the little guys icons is uploaded to riseup: http://ur1.ca/6016k and i have made that page public for easier access.

@junichiro: Can you change the bittorrent icon on http://www.blagblagblag.org/90000/features/internet.html?

If someone knows the story behind using the symbol for BLAG icons, feel free to clarify.
