Does Blag support the iwl3945abg card? Do I need to copy the firmware to my usb drive to get wifi to work? I don't think the iwl3945abg is foss.

firmware is non-free so it is not with blag. And linux-libre kernel won't load it. So you'll have to compile a new linux-libre or to use a non-free kernel. Best possibility is using a wifi USB stick that work 100% free.
