Why was I banned?

I recently joined this forum and was banned, without any reason given, after making a single post.

1)
In my post, I stated that the SHA256 value, rather than the MD5SUM value should be published on the website. I stated that the reason for this is that MD5SUM should be treated as insecure. I included a poll, to see whether others supported this idea. I also asked where this might be submitted as a bug report. (I would prefer to have done that than make a forum post.)

2)
I rejoined the forum. I hope that this is permitted. On rejoining, I noticed this time that both my password was sent as plain text to me via an email. This is insecure, I believe. The forum software needs to be upgraded, I think. I know 2 good ones, but daren't risk mentioning them in case I am banned again! (If you would like to know, send me a message!)
