I've been trying to add some RPM's from dag...I put a check mark beside that repository in Synaptic....click refresh and it fails to retreive from dag (it finds Dag but won't get the files)...hits okay on the 2 Blag ones...
I downloaded and installed Dag's GPG key so have had some success with individual RPM's but run into failed dependancies all the time...
Is there a workaround for this ??
Thanks
Rob

Uh, you should be able to check the box next to dag and then get what you need. Perhaps dag was just down for a bit or something.
Is there something in particular that you need? Which blag version?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong....I put a check beside Dag's but I get an error returned on Synaptic (instead of Hit it says Failed)_.
I'm running 10000 BLAG
On apt I get 404 not found ??
Nothing important really....just want a few games etc.
Thanks Rob

Your apt line (assuming 10k), should be something like:
| Code: | | rpm http://apt.sw.be redhat/fc1/en/i386 dag |

If you want to get a rpm that not in blag repository go to http://dag.wieers.com/home-made/apt/ and download one of your choice , ok later( asumming its fc1 )

Tried this and did get some action....it returned the following lines
GET:1 http://apt.sw.be [3156B]
Fetched 3165B in 7s (447B/s)
E: Invalid Operation rpm

Ok, he changed the location of his Repo's URL (oddly), so here's mine:
http://apt.sw.be/ fedora/1/en/i386 dag
So your URL, jebba, is wrong. If/when a 10001 release gets done, please correct it :) .

Okay...I've now added this new URL to the repository list in Synaptic....did a refresh and went from 1771 pkgs to 3434 pkgs !!!
Just one more question....Should I uncheck dag's repo when doing my dist-upgrades ???
Guess I'm an old fogie GUI kind of guy....Thanks to all who helped me...

ya, don't dist-upgrade with other repos enabled or it may be messy.

Just did an apt-get upgrade (not a dist-upgrade) with dag enabled....105 packages were upgraded
every thing seems normal....but.....blagbblagblag repository has disapeared from the list....only dag and dries remain.. !!!!
Does this matter....are there going to be any dist-upgrades from the blag repo on the 10K anyways ???
Thanks Rob

Ya, dist-upgrade against other repos /will/ cause probs... Not recommended.
There are still updates to 10k done, mostly coming from fedoralegacy.
