I got Sun, Version 1.5.0_01
running 30k beta works great! You can get it here.... http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp ( Also works with 10k) :)

Yeah, IMHO using the Java straight from Sun is best.

Actually, the problem is I think this person forgot to install the deprecated libs(it gave me headaches in the past as well).

This link is for 30k people who haven't upgraded to the new xorg yet

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/f ... 1.i386.rpm

And this is for the people who have dist-upgraded and installed the latest xorg

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/f ... 3.i386.rpm

And here are the java links from DAG

Java

http://dag.wieers.com/packages/j2re/j2r ... f.i586.rpm

The mozilla java plugin

http://dag.wieers.com/packages/j2re/moz ... f.i586.rpm

Both of those run fine on my machine...so it should work on yours
