Has anyone found a good video and audio capture application in Linux? I am toying with a few right now but would appreciate my fellow blaggers input.

Capture from what? From DV, kino works fine.

Basically we are trying to get from VCR to DVD. We can get the VCR playing on the screen through the PCI card which is a pinnacle pctv5. So now we just need to capture that. After that we can just burn it to DVD and ditch the VCR. Could Kino do that? I am toying with it now giving it a go.

I'm not certain but mplayer/mencoder may be able to do that.

mythtv does that...haven't extensively tested it...but it will allow you to capure video...
